Answer --- yes it effects the brain
Mini strokes are the small episodes of the stroke which brain faces due to various reasons and this is termed as transient ischemic attach ( TIA)
Every cell in the body needs oxygen and to respire and survive and this oxygen is carried to the every cells through the blood and it also provides nutrients
When there is a blockage of the vessels then the blood supply gets blocked and this condition is called as the ischemia and this causes the problem in cells.
When brain blood vessels shows the blockage then there will be diminished blood supply and this conditions is called transient ischemic attack (TIA) which ultimately causes the cerebral stroke condition.
This is the conditions in which brain cells do not oxygen and nutrient due to any interruption in the blood supply and brain cells starts getting die.
This is the emergency's conditions which is to be treated in time.
TIA is the conditions of the episodic attack of the ischemia which shows that a minor part of the white matter is already damaged in the brain.
When these attack repeated multiple times they can cause the cerebral stroke.
This Damage to the white matter is caused due to high blood pressure and the arterial blockage and this is also regarded as the 45% cases of the dementia and also slows the some capacities like planning coordinating etc.
So TIA are regarded as the ministrokes that are the alarming sign also and they effect the brain ages.
The episode of TIA causes the numbness in the body , difficulty in speaking , tingling , weakness in one side of the body and the temporary loss of the visions.
Two main things which you need to learn that if TIA is the conditions then it is a alarming sign of the cerebral stroke and they also becomes the causes of Alzheimer and dementia in later age of life in 50% of cases
TIA if seen then it has already affected the white matter of the brain upto some extend and its is also found that patient who suffers from the TIA and cerebral stroke also showed its impact on the cortical grey matter of the brain
So convulsively mini strokes affects the brain due to impaired blood supply to the brain cells either due to hypertension , blocked arteries or so which impacts the white matter and grey matter also in some cases in advance stages.
Thank you Good wishes do rate.
