How does stimulation affect early brain development?
As opposed to popular knowledge, babies are capable of understanding their surroundings, the emotions conveyed by the parents or capable of sensing any tension that is going on in the surroundings. Part of this understanding that the children have, could be made better with stimulation of positive emotions. Stimulation of positive emotions, through positive attributes such as proper care, touch with warmth, pleasant smells that will stimulate electrical activities. This would increase the plasticity of the brain, which may otherwise be falling short. Neural circuits get excited as a result of better connection, which may otherwise become inactive if not used.

The child when obtains a loving touch or positive feedback through warm words. It has been observed that when early childhood has books and toys that educate, in the vicinity of the child, it leaves a positive impact on the brain development. It is observed that by the age of four, if a child gets positive stimulation, with development in the grey matter layer. It has also been seen that the amount of cortex development that takes place in the teens, is directly related to the cognitive stimulation that the child faces. This period is referred to as the sensitive perspicacity of brain development.
What should cargivers do to support their child’s early brain development?
For caregivers to support early child development, it is important that parents should send out positive vibes, in the form of positive reinforcements, smiles, encouragement, warm touch, and away from stressful situations. Further, this has to be accompanied with educational toys and books, so that the best possible development would occur.
