3.Mr Kofi is a 50 year old man who has suffered stroke. He has not been able to communicate since the stroke episode. He is currently in the hospital intensive care. His assessment shows he has so much pain in the left shoulder especially during passive movement. Explain how you will assess and quantify his pain.
4.You are managing a patient who fractured his left femur. The fracture has been reduced and patient is expected to start ambulating as he has been in bed for too long. However, he is not expected to bear weight on the left lower limb.
5.Which ambulatory device will you prescribe and what is your rationale for prescribing that?

Explain why the assessments in (b) are relevant.
1- The role of the physiotherapist has importance in the clinically.The physiotherapist is recognized as a health professional to whom other health professional will refer patients for assessment and avice and social security. The physiotherapist will decide on whether treatment is required and if so what treatment,how it should be altered and progressed,and when it should be terminated . the physiotherapist is part of health team concerned with the overall management of the patient and consequently must understand the roles of the other health care professionals.
2- clinical measurement of physiotherapy includes assessing the patient, planning and implementing the treament programme,evaluating , and then altering the treatment as the result of the evaluation. An assement includes an examination, and the consequent clinical about whether treatment is appropriate and if so the aims, and the objectives the may be achieved.
3- stroke patient 's is suffer from shoulder joint because shoulder subluxation is a common post- stroke complication affecting up to 80%of the stroke subjects. There is aasessment of the shoulder subluxation method is manual fingerbreadth palpation due to gap feel between of the shoulder joint.
4- Left femur fracture management is depends of the which part of the femur site.
There is required time for fracture healing = 12- 16 weeks
There IS required time for rehabilitation= 15- 20 weeks
During the first 10 days-
- foot end elevation to prevention limb swelling.
- hip, knee and ankle gentle active range of movement exercises are commenced.
- The patient can stand or transfer the weight by using a walker or crutches.
- A two- point gait using a crutch or walker with no weight -bearing on the affected extremity.
- After 12- 16 weeks weight ,gentle passive movement to assist and progressed from partial tp full.
isometric exercise continues to quadriceps and hamstrigs muscles .
5- Functional goals to achieve a knee flexion of 90 degree for proper sitting and to restore back the normal gait.
These range gain throght the isometric exercise for quadriceps and hamstrings muscles and active range of motion of hip,knee and ankle joint.
There is amulation start with axillary crutches and walkar frames.
6- assesment- check the hip, knee and ankle range of motion.
muscle strenght of the quadriceps and hamstrings throught MMT.
