. What forms or categories of physical activity are studied in kinesiology? Which receive the most attention, and how do they relate to each other?
Kinesiology is field of science that studies the body movements
during physical activity. It studies how a movement takes place
while performing a physicsl activity.
The various categories of kinesiology to study a physical movement
involves mechanism of movement, joints and muscles used during
movement, neural control of the movement, type of muscle
contraction and external and internal forces scting on body to
carry out a particular physical activity.
The most important aspect in kinesiology is studying the activity
of brain during physical activity that stimulates muscles and
joints to perform a physical task. The activity of brain is the
main control centre for any movement. When a body needs to perform
an activity sensory signals are send to brain. The brain processes
the sensory signals and integrates it with visual and spatial
information. The brain then generates a command that is travelled
upto the skeletal muscles and joints in the form electrical impulse
and results in movement generation. The tone, speed and force of
movement, posture and equilibrium are also controlled by tge brain.
Thus the brain activity is interrelated to every aspect of
kinesiology.
