Depression is related to heart rate variability and the occurence of diseases like myocardial infarction. This conditions causes changes in the levels of cortisol and catecholamines, inflammatory response, aggregation to platelets, and effects the autonomic nervous system. Statistical survey was conducted in patients with coronary heart disease. Heart rate variability was analyzed on the exercise treadmill test, Holter measurement, stress echocardiography, and Holter monitoring was done to analyze the cases of coronary heart diseases. A record of the patient history was analyzed based on the sex, drugs used, alcohol intake and smoking habit of the patients. The height , weight, basal metabolic index was calculated for every patient. The levels of post-traumatic stress disorder and anxiety stress disorder was analyzed and diagnosed in the patient. The rates of depression was lower in patients with coronary heart diseases. The effect of the intake of the anti-depressants was observed and analyzed in the patients.
