The company should also maintain documentation as well in order to make sure that the employee has the proof that he has really attended the counseling sessions.
The documentation should be sent to the HR at the beginning of the counseling session and also when the sessions are over. The HR should know when the employee is opting for the counseling session and when the employee successfully completes all the sessions. If the employee has opted for the session and not attending them properly then also the HR department should know.
