Policies are the predetermined strategies to achieve the objectives of an organization. Policies are the documented form of guidance to tackle different situations in a business. It is a formal statement of the mission and vision of a company to achieve the goals.
The responsibility of implementing policies lies with the management of the company. The manager looks after the company's different aspects and implements the policies to run the organization smoothly.
Enforcement of policies is crucial to cope with possible business issues and achieve the aims step by step. The policies must cover all angles of the company and should not be compromised.
If the policies' enforcement is compromised, then the losses will be high; its financial and growth plans might be affected. Productivity and security will also be curtailed. Finally, the organization would lose its vision.
But a well-defined policy and sharp implementation improve any organization's functioning, clearly define the role and responsibilities of an individual, well-defined system of running the company in place results in high performance.
