What can happen if management does not enforce the policies that are put in place?
Policies are the predetermined strategies to achieve the objectives
of an organization. Policies are the documented form of guidance to
tackle different situations in a business. It is a formal statement
of the mission and vision of a company to achieve the goals.
The responsibility of implementing policies lies with the
management of the company. The manager looks after the company's
different aspects and implements the policies to run the
organization smoothly.
Enforcement of policies is crucial to cope with possible business
issues and achieve the aims step by step. The policies must cover
all angles of the company and should not be compromised.
If the policies' enforcement is compromised, then the losses will
be high; its financial and growth plans might be affected.
Productivity and security will also be curtailed. Finally, the
organization would lose its vision.
But a well-defined policy and sharp implementation improve any
organization's functioning, clearly define the role and
responsibilities of an individual, well-defined system of running
the company in place results in high performance.
