Describe the overall size of the embryo from start to end of cleavage stage?
Answer =
The overall size of the embryo from start to end of cleavage stage as follows:
Cleavage is the division of cells in embryo. after fertilization zygote is formed the zygote undergoes many rounds of cell division called as cleavage.
cleavage starts from zygote and ends with formation of blastula:
cleavage progresses from 2- cell, 4-cell, 8- cell , 16-cell , many cells or blatocyst.
cells in cleavage stage embryo are called as blastomeres.
during cleavage, the zygote rapidly divides into multiple cells without increasing size.
During cleavage, one large ,single celled zygote is divide into many smaller cells.
first singal cell zygote is cleaved into 2 celled.
2- celled embryo is cleaved into four celled embryo.
4- celled embryo is cleaved into eight celled embryo.8 cell embryo called as early morula
8- celled embryo is cleaved into 16 celled embryo , 16 cell embryo called as morulla.
16 cell embryo cleaved into many celled embryo.many celle embryo is called as blastula.
in this way during cleavage embryo size does not change, only cell number increases.
