Expert Solution

This is an excellent security measure an most of the large companies follow this rule. The companies provide the devices to the employees if they have to work from home. The employees use the information related to the company when they are working and this can pose a serious threat if it is not seriously monitored. So the companies try to stick to a smaller pool of devices so that they see what is happening with all the devices. It is also easy for them to identify any potential threats if the number is small and find a fix as soon as possible. The data leak has become a very common problem now and even the largest of the organizations are struggling to cope with it. The startups usually provide the freedom to use any device to complete the work and it can work only till the company grows and becomes a bigger company. When the flow of data becomes large, it gets difficult for the team to monitor every flow of data between the systems. The different devices will be connected to different servers and data sources when used outside the office and it might provide an opportunity to someone who wants to hack and steal vital information. So asking the employees to use the company to devices to do the office work is always the best option keeping data security in mind.
