3)MUSCULAR TISSUE

4) NERVOUS TISSUE

1) EPITHELIUM

Epithelium is the tissue which lines the outer surface of organs, body cavities, hollow tubes ( trachea , bronchi, oesophagus , fallopian tube etc.. ) and blood vessels ( Endothelium)

One major example for epithelial tissue is SKIN epidermis

2) CONNECTIVE TISSUE

Connective tissue is the tissue which connects various other tissues in the body . It is composed of matrix and cells . Cells of connective tissue includes fibroblasts, macrophages, mast cells , leukocytes etc..

The matrix is made up of ground substance , collagen and elastic fibres

Connective tissue includes Dermis of skin, bone , cartilage , adipose tissue

3) MUSCULAR TISSUE

Muscular tissue is responsible for body movements, maintence of posture(SKELETAL MUSCLE) , persistalsis of gut , contraction of uterus, vasoconstriction etc.. ( SMOOTH MUSCLE ) , Heart contraction and relaxation ( CARDIAC MUSCLE )

Skeletal muscles of body include biceps , triceps , Quadriceps femoris , etc...

4) NERVOUS TISSUE

Nervous tissue involves the Neurons and glial cells .

Nervous tissue is present in the brain and spinal cord .
