Find a graphical way to explain and differentiate the concepts of co-dominance, incomplete dominance, variable expressivity, and incomplete penetrance. Because of the nature of this question, none of the graphical representations should look the same among students in the class. Also, try other examples besides flowers. You can invent your own creature, use geometric forms, but it has to make sense and the legend of the figure should correctly explain the concepts and how to differentiate them. You should also provide a brief explanation of what you’ve drawn and how it depicts the concepts.
Incomplete dominance / partial dominance/ semidominance is a condition when neither allele is dominat over the other. A heterogygous condition expressing an intermediate phenotype. [see photo for graphical representation].
In codominance condition both the dominant allele exress equally in its heterozygos condition withou mixing [ie no intermediate is resulted]. [see photo for graphical representation].
penetrance :- Penetrance refers to the probability/ pecentage of a gene or trait being expressed.
Expressivity :- on the other hand refers to variation in phenotypic expression when an allele is penetrant.
