The nervous system, composed of the brain, spinal cord, nerves, and ganglia, serves as the human body’s primary communication and control system.
Nervous system controls all the activities of body.
Central nervous system includes brain and spinal cord . It is formed by neurons and supporting cells called neuroglia. Structure of brain and spinal cord are arranged in two layer namely gray and white matter.
Brain is situated in the skull. It is continuous as spinal cord in the vertebrae column. Brain and spinal cord are are surrounded by three layers of meninges called outer Dura mater, middle arachnoid and inner pia mater.
the centrally placed brain and spinal cord help in communicating with whole of the body easily. From centrally placed Brian and spinal cord, nerves can reach each and every part of body and thus can control every part.
For communicating with every organ, there is peripheral nervous system. It contains cranial nerves arising from brain and spinal nerves arising from spinal cord. Peripheral nerves are formed by the neurons and their processes present in all regions of body.
Thus the anatomy of Central nervous system along with arrangement of peripheral nervous system helps in covering every part of body.
