The educational model at UoPeople places a great emphasis on examinations. Yes, the same emphasis is placed on examinations in my country. It is mandatory that the students should prepare for the examinations in advance and appear for the exams. Open book exams are not very common, but seldom employed.

Examinations form the main aspect of education and has been so since many years. Examinations judge the student, about the competency of the student, till what level they have acquired the knowledge. Colleges and institutions throughout the country have looked into examinations as the main basis of judging students.

Personally, I feel examinations are required but the standards could be different in judging people. The standards should be more lenient and judged on the basis of the type of answers the students have given, and their understanding level and not strictly the rightness or wrongness of the answer.
