Information security team should asses the corporateb culture before implementing the
insider threat program.Corporate culture is very important in shaping the peerson's
behaviour inside the company to some extent outside the company also.Carpoorate ethics
and values are equally important which play a major role in making the corporate
culture. The comapany rules and policies are actually the indicators of company culture.
An inside threat actually comes from enployees.if the corporate culture is weak, the chances
that an employee commits a fault or crime increases. If the corporate culture is not good
then employee feels disconnected with the company to some extent and a slightest dissatisfaction with the company, he or she may try to harm the company in some way or the other way.A
good corporate culture makes an employee responsible towards the company and to some extent
increases the belongingness to the company and these things inspire him not to harm the
company.Instead such things make him feel good about the company and he not only take care
of his actions but also tries to stop anybody who may want to harm the company. So yes
assesing corporate culture should be one of the important strategic consdideratiom while
implementing the insider threat program.
