Antartica has six months of sunlight in its summer and six months of darkness in its winter.The people who travel to or live in Antartica fall into two main groups,those who live and work on scientific research stations and tourists.how can you stay through the winter when there is no sunlight, living in these places during the winter is difficult. you can spend an hour or less there.They can only stay there with proper security equipment.The safty measures they usually take are the following;

  • normal clothes indoors.
  • outdoors are layering system used with clothing issues to suit the conditions on each particular station.
  • Long thermal underwear, then one or two soft insulating layers and then a windproof outer layer usually with more insulation.long mittens,
  • tall insulated boots with a thick insulatig sole, a hat or balaclava and neck gaiter or scraf.All of these in extreme cold weather weight and design.
