Expatriate assignments are quite preferred by employees because it gives them a huge opportunity to work in a different country and because of that they are generally given a hike in their pay and along with that they also get a lot of exposure working in a country other than their native. As I have been offered a good opportunity to work for an expatriate assignment for the next three years I will actually be looking forward for this assignment as I am quite excited about the same but also a bit confused as I am not at all aware of the country that I will be visiting and the things that I need to adhere to and hence in the meeting I would like to discuss various aspects regarding the same. Firstly, details about the pay that the organization will be offering me as remuneration and based on that if that would be sufficient for me to sustain in the country. Secondly, the details about the visit and issues related to immigration and Visa and the validity of Visa and any exceptions that the nation may have. Thirdly, the terms of employment that I will be having, will it have any change in my terms and what aspects do i need to look for. Thirdly, the work culture in the nation is it similar to that of our country or different. Fourthly the rules and regulations that I need to considered and be aware of while working in the nation. Lastly, if there is anyone already working in the nation or has experience of working and if he can actually et up a meeting with that person which will actually help me in my venture.
