1)
For a given area more information can be stored in form of digital signals in form of 1 s and 0s, than the analog data,
Example,
A tiny micro SD card can store , many hours of music where as the old analog music cassettes required very large disc to store at most a album of music.
2)
Digital signals can be processed efficiently to reduce the effects of noise , than the analog counterpart
Ex: in analog communication, we can at most limit the channel bandwidth that just allow desired signal and reduce average noise power,
There are no much other processes that reduce noise effects,
But, in digital communication, there are a variety of algorithms, and techniques to check for errors and reduce.
3)
Highly efficient digital computers are possible to design, where as counterpart analog computers can not,
Because in analog computing, there is no much scope for data storage and algorithms to work on analog data.
4) data encryption and privacy is possible in digital technology, such an encryption is not possible with analog data.
