Positive and Negative Reinforcement.

Operant behaviour - Behaviour that elicits a consequence
Positive reinforcement - Act of increasing the probability of occurence of a target behaviour, termed as operant by following it with prizes, rewards, positive event, object or action such as praise.
Negative reinforcement -increases the probability of occurence of a given operant through the removal of an aversive event, object, or, act.
