Use Excel to perform various analyses and generate graphs, charts and plots of the following activities: generate frequency tables; produce bar graphs, pie charts, line charts, and scatter plots; calculate mean, median, and mode, standard deviation, standard scores, and normal distribution percentiles.
To generate frequency table:
Assuming artificial data
Go to insert tab--> Pivot table-->
select data in table range--> OK-- >
drag value name nad drop to row labels
drag names 10 to summation symbol in bottom right
now the sum represent total to change to couunt click in small arrow in previous dragged position like this
select count from menu and press ok
This is your frequency table
For charts it is is simple. select data and chose type of charts from the insert menu
For mean median modes..etc follow this:
Go to Data tab
click on data analysis
chose data and select output where you want result
check on statistics you want
This is the result
To find Z score either use formula (x-mean)/sd or a formula inexcel called STANDARDIZE(value,mean,sd)
To find percentile use formula PERCENTRANK.ESC( range of data,data point)
