    As you told IBM watson has created a lot of excitement, entertainment in the field of computer science, specifically Artificial Intelligence (AI). Basically IBM watson is a supercomputer which has its own cognitive abilities and memory and can answer the humans through question answer sessions.

IBM is one of the systems that can think, act and answer like humans and answer to our questions. It makes use of modern machine learning algorithms, natural language processing, cognitive computing .etc.

THREE COMMERCIAL APPLICATIONS OF IBM:

• HEALTHCARE

          IBM watson has enormous and enriched applications in health care. IBM Watson has applications in health care sector such as precision medicine, predictive analytics in health care. etc.

Precision Medicine: It is the prediction of treatments for patients based on the analytics of genomic data. As the behaviour of patients towards various medicines varies, IBM makes use of available enormous genomic data or drug patient data to predict the best medications that can be given to a patient.

Predictive Analytics in Healthcare: IBM Watson also capable of predicting whether a patient will have serious diseases such as Cancer, Asthma, Alzheimer's, other dementia's in future or not. This prediction is mainly done with the help of data.

In both the cases, IBM Watson can assist the doctor in taking decision for a complex task.

DISADVANTAGES OF WATSON OVER HUMANS IN MEDICAL FIELD:

1. Replacing a Doctor in Medical Field: An IBM Watson system cannot replace a doctor or physician in the medical field. Although, Watson is capable of doing all the activities that can be done by a doctor, it do not mean a replacement of the doctor.
2. Watson do not consider emotional and human element. In medical field, the emotional and sentiments has a huge role. However, watson cannot consider it to a greater extent. It means Watson is not the last answer.

WATSON AS A TRIP PLANNING SERVICE:

1. As a personalized customer trip planning service provider, IBM Watson can assists in the planning of personalized interests for a traveller during their journey. Just like, recommending the places you may like to visit, the food you can eat, scheduling the time accordingly. etc.
2. Cognitive Planning : This involves find the best hotels or destinations at a cheaper price. Just like the humans think, this ability of IBM helps in designing planning based on the thinking abilities. In short, it finds an optimized trip plan for a traveller.
3. Real time planning : Watson has always the alternatives if any of the solutions do not work well. This involves finding the best solutions for a traveller dynamically in real time. For example, finding the best routes that will take a traveller to destination easily by considering the traffic constraints around the place and all.
