For you, what would be the biggest benefit of managing a server remotely? What do you imagine will be the biggest disadvantage of managing a server remotely? Why? Most remote management tasks will be handled by using Server Manager, MMC, or the PowerShell command line. Which do you think will be the easiest for you to use and why?

Remote Server setup:

• I believe using the server remotely will be more of a benefit as there can be many benefits to it. Some of them are listed below:
  • The one of the most important benefit would be that we can handle the server from anywhere without depending on what our actual geographical location is, which makes it more useful for us.
  • The support costs would be lower as compared to handling server manually as it will take less time to address and resolve the issues whenever necessary.
  • The remote support with enable fast services to the consumer which will enhance the business continuity of the program and will also advance the business aspects of the server.
  • It will help the technician to get the fixes done from whenever and wherever necessary.
• The biggest disadvantage of the servers would be that it would cost more to reside the services of the servers as there would be requirement of powerful remote desktop services which will cost a lot more. The network would also be required to be powerful for increasing the efficiency of the systems.
• The use of Powershell would be most effective as it is easy to use and implement. The commands for the program are too sorted which will require most of the things to be done easily by the network administrator and it is also one of the basic command controller.
• Also, it is Object oriented scripting language which enables support to many commonly used languages such as Java, VBScript, etc which will help even the network administrators to manage and alter the codes in case of any such requirement.

Hence, I think Powershell would be the best tool to be used as the remote management task.
