Before coming to the HR concepts lets understand staffing and its importance. Staffing is said to be the process of hiring eligible candidates in the organization for specific positions or it can be said as filling of the post with the right candidate. Staffing is important as all other sources are dependent on it whether it's capital. resources, material anything. In order to exploit them effectively and efficiently, manpower is required. Hence it is very important to get the qualifies personnel for the respective position.

The staffing process comprises of few steps that need to be followed by any HR for hiring an efficient employee with the right skills and knowledge required for the respective vacancy:

1)Estimating manpower requirement or Development of a staffing plan;

This is a crucial step as planning helps to ascertain how many people are required, the type of employees required needed by the organization currently, and even in the future.

2)Recruitment and selection:

This process includes who all should be called for the assessment and after that the final selection take place.

After these two steps placement and orientation takes place along with training and development.

This all steps are crucial and chances of failure start from the very beginning as if the estimation of staff required goes wrong the organization has to suffer. The recruitment process takes time hence if any vacancy is left it will f=directly impact the working of the organization. Like for example, there is requirement of four accountant to assist the Chartered accountants and due to lack of planning or analysis, the HR recruited only two this will impact the workload along with the inefficient working. If there is lack of training and development it will impact the working of the employees. Another example is suppose we are hiring for a restaurant and it has vacancy for four people along with a cook,one need to advertise available job at right place and for all post.If the posting is not done for cook and just for other staff then how athe restaurant will run.
