interpreting conclusions of hypothesis tests:
In Our testing of analysis we have some claim and we check that claim is true or false
To test : here our H0 claim is always nulity means zero value or not significant value vs
H1 : is always some thing value ie not zero value and it is significant
Test statistics : we calculate test statistics value if given variable are normal distribution or not
if variable follows normal distribution then we use parametric test ow we used non parametric test
Decision : we reject null hypothesis at 100 *(1- alpha) level of significance
we calculate Critical region using alpha value and degree of freedom
then if test statistics value is strictly greater than critical value then we reject H0 ie we accept H1
or some time we calculate p value and if p value is < alpha value we reject H0
Conclusion : if we reject H0 means given variable is significant or claim is satisfied
actually Conclusion is depends upon observations and what is claim.
