When the plane is a distance h directly above a dog that is standing on level ground, a suitcase drops out of the luggage compartment. How far from the dog will the suitcase land? using 2nd equation of motion along vertical axis
0 = h + vo sin * t - 0.5 gt^2
0.5 gt^2 - vo sin t - h = 0
solving for t
t = [vo sin + ( ( vo sin )^2 - 4 (-h) (0.5g))] / ( 2 * 0.5 g)
motion along horizontal
D = vo cos * t
D = vo cos * [ vo sin + (( vo sin ) ^2 + 2gh)] /g
