Solutions

Expert Solution

With the help of enterprise wikis, the big and diverse organization can publish, store and update information of different kinds. But, these information or data should be properly classified so that each function or department can find it organized and access it with ease. It will add value to the organization and its employees. So, the use of enterprise wikis, is good for the bigger organization and employees can benefit themselves with the presence of diverse information and knowledge at one place.
Workplace wikis can help the organization, but it should have different levels of control & access with the different type of data. For example, general information, schedule, code of conduct & troubleshooting exercise, can be accessed by everyone, but details related to product development stages of the product, benchmarking exercises or other sensitive information should only be accessed with authorized control. It will save the data from getting theft, using the unauthorized access. So, workplace wikis can be used to the benefits of the organization, but with security arrangements.
