In the reaction, 1 mole of salicylic acid gives 1 mole of aspirin

Thus, moles of salicylic acid (13.5 mmol) = moles of aspirin (13.5 mmol)

Theoretical yields of aspirin (mg) = mmoles of aspirin x molar mass of aspirin

                                                     = 13.5 x 180.157

                                                     = 2432.12 mg

                                                     = 2.43 g

Thus, the theoretical yield in grams of aspirin = 2.43 g
