1. Social psychology is a branch of psychology. It deals with the social interaction of an individual. It shows how an individual's thought, feeling and behavior are influenced and encouraged by the society.
2. Sociology is the study of society as a whole. Ir is broader than social psychology. Social psychology is the study of human mind and his interactions with the society. On the other hand, sociology is the study of society, its members, the social agencies, social relationship etc.
3. A social psychologist focuses how the abuse of alcohol hampers the social interaction of an individual. How he becomes separated from the rest and how society influences him to the use of alcohol.
A sociologist studies the effect of the use of alcohol in the society. It focuses how an individual hampers the stability of the society and how his social and family life is hampered for the abuse of alcohol.
Clinical psychologist makes assessment what disorders are there for the abuse of alcohol. What therapy he needs.
