The Windows Event Viewer is and administrative tool found in all versions of windows. It allows you to view events, errors and additional important information about is what is happening in the system. It shows a log of application and system messages including errors, information and warnings. It is also useful in troubleshooting all kinds of window problems.

The type of events that are logged in the event viewer are Information, Warning, Error, Success Audit, Failure Audit.

The Event viewer is designed to help system adminitrator keep tabs in their computers and troubleshoot problems. Even if your system in working fine the event viewer will still show some errors which maybe of weeks ago.

In case of wireless or network issues one of the most useful troubleshooting techniques is by reviewing network built in logs in operating system. These logs contain information about trouble causing events that occurs during the utilization of the network services. These log run in the background gathering information about the network events.
