Identify 5 institutional problems of European Union

Solutions

Expert Solution

The 5 institutional problems of the European Union are:

  1. Brexit: there are many problems in the European Union surrounding the brexit. For the European countries, in order to decide a position on the brexit would require some time and compromises. There may be imposition of significant fists and would affect the economies.
  2. Refugees as well as migration: after 2015, there was a start of the refugee crisis with the migration deal with turkey. Also, with the Balkan route closure that happened in 2016 spring, the refugee crisis increased.
  3. The economy: even after the shock given by brexit, there is a gradual improvement coming in the economy. There has been an increase in the economic activity and the Eurozone has progressed on a path of gradual improvements.
  4. Foreign and security policies: European Global Strategy has set out a framework where relations with the outside world could be set out. This was published in June 2016. There was a flow of the NATO cooperation where different hybrid threats were met.
  5. The politics: the politics has become fairly volatile in the Europe, similar to that of the western world. The support for the performance of Eu has been on a swing among the people.
