Autonomic nervous system is a part of peripheral nervous system that controls the involutary action of smooth muscles, glands and organs. The fibres are myelinated. It innervates the target organ through sympathetic and parasympathetic innervations and regulates their functions. Sympathetic division uses adrenaline and noradrenaline as neurotransmitter to exert its effect while parasympathetic division uses acetylcholine as the neurotransmitter.
ANS pathway : The sensory neuron is stimulated through a stimulis which then generates afferent impulses carried by sensory nerves to the brain. The efferent pathway of ANS is two neuron pathway which involves preganglionic neurons to synapse on post ganglionic neurons which synapse at the effector or target cell. So ANS has multiple synapses. The sympathetic and parasympathetic fibres can bind to various receptors on the target cells. They can innervate mutiple target cells.
So we have seen that

d. post synaptic/ganglionic nerve reaches multiple target cells,

e. there is a synapse

f. it uses the neurotransmitter NE

g. multiple synapses are involved

h. it uses the neurotransmitter ACh

i. it involves myelinated axons

j. it consists of two nerves

Which of the following statements are true? Select all correct answers. Cell membranes in reindeer legs (near the hooves) are kept flexible because they have a large number of saturated fatty acids. Cell membranes in cold-tolerant winter wheat plants have a higher ratio of unsaturated fatty acids to saturated fatty acids than do cold-intolerant wheat varieties. A plant that produces more monounsaturated fatty acids than polyunsaturated fatty acids in its membranes in winter has an increased resistance to freeze damage....
