Some questions have answers that will be different for each persons perspective. This question is something like that. So I will try to answer this with my pespective.

I completely agree with this statement, proverb is important for a student of computer programming. As a computer science student, we will make many mistakes while solving a problem using the programming language. Each time we get an error , we will learn how to solve that error and will be more careful not to make that error again.

The concept is with proverb. They are made with a vast experience and its intension is to make sure that the humans wont perform the old mistakes again. In that point of view, proverb is important to a computer programming student.
