In your own words define problem employees and elaborate on the categories they may fall into. For the second or last paragraph provide your opinion on which employee type is the most difficult. • Problem employees inevitably surface in most workplaces and small companies aren't immune. Sometimes, the problems are obvious, such as attendance issues or a failure to deliver results.
• Five types of problem employees:-
• The Poor Fit includes employees who have been newly hired but certain work related skills need more polishing since there knowledge is less. So they are not able to perform the work effectively.
• The Disappearing Act-Sometimes, problematic behavior crops up in connection with troubles emerging in an employee's personal life.
• The Scofflaw-These kind of problem employees stop following policies and procedures of the company after a while. They behave in inappropriate ways which could be risky for the company.
• The Sour Apple-Negative employees who bad-mouth the company and its leadership to fellow employees and even customers can disrupt morale. Discontented employees who bad-mouth the company and its leadership to fellow employees and even customers can take a toll.
• The Filcher-Regardless of their diligence in pre-hire screening, employers occasionally discover illegal activity by their employees.
• I guess the sour apple and filcher kind of employees are most problematic and difficult. Since bad mouthing a company and its leaders can create bad reputation of the company and illegal activities can lead to huge losses being suffered by the company if they do not keep a check on their employees and even the security systems.
