Advantages of Project charters.
1. The project charter makes it very clear where the project is going. It spells out what the project is trying to achieve and its objective.
2. Project charter gives the project scope. A project always needs to be scoped out.
3. Project charter also spells out the timeline for the project. This helps to guide all work activities in a project, so that you know what is progressing, and what is being delayed.
4. The project charter also spells out the project approach. Typically, the project approach consists of both a functional and technical approach.
5.The next thing that a project charter documents is the issue management process. Besides change requests, there are tons of other issues that a project manager needs to manage.
6. Charter record all information needed into a central project library. This is really useful if you have a crisis and can’t seem to locate a key information.
Disadvantages:
Common complications are not realized in the manner in which you did predict. When addressing an unpredicted complication, your team may tend to rely on your instruction to find a solution when they cannot find one in your charter.
Difference between strategic and marketing plans:
The strategic plan is all about strategic focus. It ought to include thinking about how the business is different, and it's special market focus, and it's business offering like product or service, and how those elements work together. A marketing plan usually all about market analysis. It defines
