What are neural networks, what is their purpose, and what practical applications for these networks in medicine can you think of? Be brief in terms of the applications and examples, but you must be able to introduce and explain the concept of a neural network, clearly showing your understanding of the theory and briefly showing your practical vision.
Artificial neural networks is similar to biological neural network but not identical, it is modelled such that it will give you output as per different example stored of compared by it. In simple terms a neural networks is a model by which without programming a device we can get output or desired results as per different kind of example or scanned images. Neural networks compares it with stored images or data and try to provide best results which is desired. It is generally a computational nonlinear statistical data modelling tool, in which complex data modelling is performed when pattern which is stored is match of found.
In medicine world, it can play very big role, as we know that it gives you a result when pattern stored is matched with input data. Therefore in medical field when a input is applied in terms of scanned images such as X ray, CT scan, Ultrasound scan, then it compares with pre stored pattern and then as per modelling, it recommend medicine to the patients. It can bridge gap between doctor and patient ratio which is increasing day by day. And again we can get best from it by providing different kinds of pattern, as we know that it always try to analysed data which is already stored and applied, if it matches up to desired level then it will give you results which is very similar to results given by a biological neurons.
