1.Which gluteal muscle is the most superficial?
2.What are the three bones that make up the pelvic girdle?
3.Which muscle does the sciatic nerve run under?
4.What is the action of a muscle that originates on the Ischial spine?
5.Name two muscles that originates on the lateral surface of the sacrum (one of these muscles only partially originates on the sacrum).6.Which two muscles insert onto the Iliotibial band?
ANSWER 1 - gluteal muscles are the muscles that makes the buttock together and these three muscles are gluteus maximus , gluteus medius and gluteus minimus
these muscles together form the buttock in which the gluteus maximus is the most superficial one.
these all muscles are originated from the sacrum and illium while they provide the extension abduction and internal and external rotation to the hip bone.
gluteus maximus is the largest and superficial and covers the major area of the buttock it is a narrow fleshy arrangement of quardilateral shape which is the superficial and starts from illeum and goes to the pubic crest.
ANSWER 2 Pelvic girdle is made up by three bones known as illium ischium and pubis these three bones together makes the pelvic girdle in which illum is the present in anterior and superficial side and have a broad and flat long bridge surface and and on lower side there is ischium and pubis while pubis is present posteriorly have pubic arch and ischium contains the ischial tuberosity and there is a round and oval shape called acetabulum in which head of femur gets attached.
ANSWER 3 SIATIC nerve is the nerve that runs from lower back of the body and is the longest nerve divides into the 5 division and goes towards the leg through hip knee thigh and to lower leg this nerve passes through the greater sciatic foramen and it is under the PIRIFORMIS MUSCLE and sometimes it also above the muscle for very short part and this nerve further divides below to go ahead.
ANSWER 4 GAMELLUS superior and inferior is a pair of muscle which are lateral rotator of the pelvis and they originate from ischial spine and insert into medial surface of the greater trocanter of the femur which provide lateral rotation at the hip.
i have answered 4 questions of starting can ask me any doubt in comments best wishes.
