We stay healthy because our bodies keep everything in balance. Which system that we studied this semester, do you think is the most important in maintaining homeostasis? In your discussion be sure to include the main function of the system, cells and tissues that are involved, and how it maintains homeostasis. You can also include how it helps regulate other systems if you think that is important. To answer this question you can draw a diagram, but please be sure to label your pictures.

You don’t have to. As long you explain clearly

Expert Solution

The system that can maintain homeostasis in our body is the endocrine system.

The endocrine system in our body mainly includes the hypothalamus, pitutary glands

These are the main endocrine system in our body .

1) hypothalamus mainly stimualate the pitutary gland to secrete hormone and the hormone include growth hormone releasing hormones, corticotropin releasing the, gohardotropin releasing hormone.

The hypothalamus also stimualate the thyroid gland in secretion of the thyroid hormone that helps in the maintaince of homeostasis.

2) pitutary gland - they have a major function in our body in the maintaince of homeostasis. This is by the secretion of many hormone like

  1. Growth hormone that is secreted by the pituitary on stimualtion by the hypothalamus . They help in the growth of bones in our body will. Growth hormone helps in the metabolism of fat ,protein and carbohydrates..
  2. Thyroid stimulating hormone is produced by the thyroid gland and results in the secretion of thyroid hormone which helps in the homeostasis of Calcium in blood and metabolism
  3. Adrenocorticotropic hormone which helps in the release of the adrenal gland hormone which helps in maintaining homeostasis. The hormones cortisol will be released from the adrenal gland and cause the maintaince of major function like effects in the fat , protein and protein metabolism
  4. Corticotropin releasing hormone from the hypothalamus stimualate the pitutary for the secretion of the folicle stimualting hormone and leutinizing hormone that cause release of sex hormone in body
  5. Prolactin is secreted by the pituitary to help in secretion of the breast milk
  6. Anti diuretic hormone is the hormone that cause the retention of water and sodium which helps in the maintaince of fluid and electrolyte in the Body.

These helps in the maintaince of homeostasis in our body

The Mechanism by which growth hormone is released and maintain homeostasis in body . It helps in the bone growth and metabolism of the protein ,fat and carbohydrates.

The lymphatic system includes our bodies' defenses against infections. AIDS, Leukemia, many autoimmune disorders, and allergies are all manifestations of a breakdown in the normal functioning of the lymphatic system. Find an online source that helps to explain how these diseases interact with the lymphatic system mechanisms. Provide the link and a brief summary of fewer than 250 words. Then, read at least two classmates' posts. What questions are you still wondering about after reading the summary they posted?
