Performance
appraisal
This is a process in which the
organization monitors and evaluates the employee's performance in
the organization and compares it with the actual performance
required by the employee. This is a really helpful process to
increase the performance of the organization as the management can
identify the employees which are not sufficient as required and
then they are given ample amounts of counseling and training which
really improves the employee's performance towards the task that he
has been given.
There are two different types of
performance appraisal and they are positive and negative, so let's
discuss some points about them.
- Positive performance appraisal
consists of details in which it shows that employee work carefully
and is always aware of any changes in his or her working pattern
which keep them updated but on the other hand negative performance
appraisal consist of weakness about the employee towards his or her
work. This shows that the employee is not cautious about its work
performance and quality.
- In the positive performance
appraisal the employee is trustworthy and is reliable that he can
handle his or her work in any situation and will still maintain
that quality of work, But in the case of negative performance
appraisal the employee is not seen as trustworthy and he or she is
not given important task in order to keep themselves on the safe
side.
- Positive performance appraisal the
employee is always punctual and he or she knows about the
importance of it which truly improves his organizational behaviour
and in negative performance appraisal employee can be irregular and
discipline towards his work which badly impacts the organization
performance.
