Positives and negatives of the United States democracy

Democracy refers to the rule of the people. The term is originated from Greek.

Positives of United States democracy are

(i) It enables the citizens of a country to elect their representative,this develops responsiblity and belongingness. It overcomes the negatives of monopoly.

(ii)The leader can prove his eligibility, this motivates the leader to implement and execute many plausible strategies.

(iii) This kind of system enables peace in the country. It leads to the citizen's satisfaction, on the other hand they have a choice to correct their mistake in the next elections if they are unhappy with current rule.

Negatives:

(i)Unrealistic promises made by the politicians often becomes the success deciding factor.

(ii)It involves lot of financial wastage.

(iii) Selection of a leader can be affected negatively through various factors such as lack of wise citizens, socio cultural background, literacy rates etc.
