Dependent Variable is a variable that is being tested in an experiment, in an experiment the reseacher is looking for the effects of dependent variable when we change a independent variable in a given experiment. Independant variable conditions will directly effects the dependent varible results, in an experiment certain conditions will take place to see the effects on dependent variable.
Example:-
1)In an experiment, a researcher is studying how much the amount of time spent in studying will influence test scores. In this amount of time is idependant variable and test scores would be dependent variable. The test scores is directly dependent on a amount of time spent on study. A reseachers can change the amount of time span according to his wish, as to see the changes on dependent variable.
2)In an experiment, a reseachers is studying weather caffiene affects your appetite or not. In this, caffiene and the amount of caffiene would be independant variable, whereas amount of hunger would be a dependant variable. We can change a amount of caffiene quantity, so we would come to know the effects on dependant variable that is a amount of hunger.
