Ebola virus is a a virus belonging to the genus ebolavirus.
It is responsible for causing ebola hemorrhagic fever in human beings and non human primates.
This disease is characterized by bleeding, vomiting, severe headache, rashes, muscle pain, sore throat and decreased function of liver and Kidneys.
The nucleic acid of this virus is single stranded RNA containing 4× 10^6 bases. The capsid is cylindrical in shape which holds RNA inside it and is covered with glycoproteins on the outer surface.
