What effects does a developing fetus have on the female body? How does this relate to the growth of the fetus?
As a fetus grows in a female, it has several effects on the body of female. The fetus causes development of many glands and also changes the hormonal levels in the body of female. It causes development of placenta, a new structure in the female body. Through this placenta the fetus gets nutrients and oxygen from the mother. Also fetus results in secretion of more progesterone and estrogen hormone, which causes the development of uterus and also the mammary glands of the female. It inturns results in increase in breast size. The developed uterus becomes more glandular and helps in conceiving of fetus. Also as the fetus grow, it results in increasing abdominal size of the female. Also the fetus changes posture of a female. It increases the metabolic rate of a female and also causes weight gain in a female, as the female also takes nutritious food to provide good nutrition to the female. By all changes the female gets direct benefits. All the body metabolic processes of fetus are carried out by the help of fetus, as the organs of fetus are not developed. Also the fetus gets nutrients and oxygen and also excretes the waste easily through the placenta. Also the fetus gets immunity through mother to fight against diseases. After birth, the fetus is called as infant and gets milk, its most required nutrient from the female or mother.
