Religion and groups have a way of providing an individual what mot thing sometimes fail to: hope.
Although, religion can be dogmatic in few turns, but that is due to the meaning that morphed by charlatans to propagate a certain agenda that leads to religion and faiths earning a bad name.
But religion provides people with hope, in times where life is met by stressors that seem hard to overcome and seem as though an individual does not possess the power to affect these changes, they turn to faith which gives them hope. Religions is a boat that helps keep people afloat, it aids in understanding the self and finding a rock that one can lean on in times when it feels as though there is no support.
School, accountability groups and small groups, give us a sense of unity and a sense of belonging that every individual craves, desires, and requires in order to feel accepted and loved: one of the main facets required for the maintenance of ones psychological well being.
These groups have helped me build a form of sustenance system that not only help me survive, but help me live and experience life.
