In one single sentence differentiate among the actions of auxins, cytokinins, ethylene and gibberellic acid
Auxin-
It is a plant hormone which is responsible for overall growth of plants. Auxin help in phototropism ( it means growth of plants towards the source of light) , geotropism ( it means the growth of plants towards the gravity) and hydrotropism (which means the growth of plants towards the higher concentration of water).
Auxin also help in formation of xylem and phloem. Auxin also promote root growth and apical growth of plant.
Cytokinin-
As the name suggest, the cytokinin hormone induces cell division and cytokinesis on plant. It helps in cell division, differciation and maturation of plant. It increases the growth rate of plants. It is useful in reducing the maturation time of crops thus help in early maturation.
Ethylene-
It is a type of gaseous hormone. Spraying the fruits with ethylene gas ripens the fruits faster. Thus ethylene help is fast cell division and development.
It is also useful for plants in situation of stress such as in floods, insects attack , drought etc.
Gibberellic acid-
It is a plant hormone which induces elongation of cells. It helps in cell division of roots , stems, leaflets, apical buds etc.
It help the plant to grow taller. It also help in rapid germination of seeds.
