When an object is placed 10 cm in front of a mirror, an image is formed 45 cm behind the mirror. What is the mirror’s focal length?

Solutions

Expert Solution

Solution:-

                 Given:-

                               do- 10 cm

                               di- 45cm

Formula for focal length:-

                                      1/f = 1/d0 + 1/di

                                      1/f = 1/10 + 1/45

                                       1/f = 0.1 + 0.022

                                      1/f = 0.1222 cm

The focal length of the mirror is = 0.1222 cm
