HISTORY AND IMPACT OF WORKERS COMPENSATION LAW:

It is surprising to know the history of compensation to workers in 2050B.C. the ancient Law at that time itself has mentioned about the compensation to injured workers, They mentioned the compensation to workers to workers for injury in specific body parts.

Industrial revolution tends to extreme works for workers in the factories in those times. Hence number of injuries were increased because of hazards processes and lack of training to workers. Because of that, workers turned to seek help from court.

In earlier days the compensation for workers was so restrictive that workers was not covered to claim for most of the injuries. For the injuries of contributory negligence, the fellow servant rule and assumption of risk the workers was not under claim situation.

Later the Chancellor Bismark implemented the concept called the social insurance which benefits the injured workers most. This social insurance is called Employers' Liability Law of 1871. The Employers' Liability Law of 1871 provides come protection to workers to some extent.In 1884 Bismarck imposed Workers' Accident Insurance. After that based on Workers' Accident Insurance has become the grroundwork for today's workers compensation insurance.

This Workers Compensation Insurances effects very late to US. In US they pary failed to implement workers compensation between 1898 and 1908.At the year of 1906 and 1908 the congress passed Employers' Liability Act of 1906 and 1908.
