    1. what structure secretes estrogen?
    2. how does the effect of estrogen on gonadotropin secretion change from mid to late follicular phase (just prior to ovulation)?

Solutions

Expert Solution

The follicular phase in the women is taking place between the first day of the ovulation. In this phase, the estrogen enhanced with the act that egg is preparing to be released. In the process of ovulation, the egg is released from the ovary in the middle cycle. This is the normal follicular phase the length of phases from 15 to 16 days. This could range from 10 to 20 days based on your cycle. This phase started from the first day of menstruation and the end with the ovulation. This is initiated by the hypothalamus as well as a pituitary gland that releases the follicle-stimulating hormone.

a. The estrogens are primarily secreted by the Corpus luteum after the process of follicles which has been released from the follicle from the Placenta. During the menstrual phase in the female, the eggs are formed under the control of estradiol. It is also secreted by the anterior pituitary gland which initiated in the last few days of the previous menstrual cycle.

b.The effect of estrogen only gonadotropin secretion changes the ovulation with a duration of 14 days. Prior to ovulation the level of estrogen in the body increase due to rapid change in luteinizing hormone. Causes the dominant phase of follicle that ruptured and released immaturity from the ovary.
