Speedballing: a process of mixing stimulant and depressant drugs together. Such as Cocaine(stimulant) and Heroine(Depressant) . Stimulant drug excites the sympathetic nervous system whereas the depressant drug stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system .(parasympathetic nervous system maintains the body at rest and the sympathetic nervous system promotes the flight-or-fight response of the body. ) It is a very dangerous mixture because of drug synergy evolved due to mixing drugs.

HIDTA: High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area created by Anti drug-abuse act of 1988 was orchestrated to reduce drug trafficking and drug production in USA through following measures:

  1. Allocate extra law enforcement personnel to areas identified as HIDTA
  2. By enhancing law enforcement intelligence sharing among different law enforcement agencies
  3. Coordinating law enforcement strategies among different law enforcement agencies
