A person is spinning in a chair with a dumbbell that has mass of 1.13 kg. He holds his arms out for one revolution and it takes 2.3 sec. Then he moves his arms in to his chest for one revolution and it takes 1.32 seconds. The radius when his arms are extended is .74 m. Calculate each of the following for arms extended and arms pulled in. Also can you briefly explain of what is happening in each. I need help understanding this lab as I have more trials to do on my on . Thank you!
a) moment of inertia of the dumbbell about the axis of rotaion
b) Angular velocity of the dumbbell about the axis of rotation
c) Angular Acceleration
d) Tangential Acceleration
e) Torque of dumbbell about the axis of rotaion
f) Rotational kinetic energy
g) change in angular momentum
