Choose one electrolyte of the extracellular fluid that is homeostatically controlled and explain what the consequences are of not being able to maintain isotonic values (you can use flow diagrams).
Hyper means the concentration of electrolyte is more with respect to extracellular fluid. it means the solution called Hypertonic solution.
in Hypertonic solution the Water of Extracellular fluid comes towards hypertonic solution .it means the movement of molecules occurr From low concentration to higher concentration.
Hpo means the concentration of electrolyte is less with respect to extracellular fluid. and the solution is called Hypotonic Solution.
In Hypotonic Solution there is movement of water occur towards the Isotonic Solution it means in Isotonic Solution there is movement of molecules occur low concentration (Hypotonic Solution) to the higher concentration (Isotonic Solution)
Iso mean same that's the concentration of electrolyte is same as concentration of extracellular fulid and the solution is called Isotonic Solution.
In Isotonic Solution there is no Exchange of molecules that's neither Osmosis nor diffusion occur.
