Answer: The Nevada Constitution consists of the following: two prefix provisions, a preamble, 19 articles (one of which has been repealed) and a suffix provision.

The government of Nevada comprises three branches of government: the executive branch consisting of the Governor of Nevada and the Governor's cabinet along with the other elected constitutional officers; the legislative branch consisting of the Nevada Legislature which includes the Assembly and the Senate; and the judicial branch consisting of the Supreme Court of Nevada and lower courts.

A majority of all members of both houses must pass the proposed amendment. The proposed amendment must then pass the next consecutive biennial session. If it passes, the proposed amendment is sent to the people for vote.

The state constitution as well as the US constitution serves as the checks and balances, used to govern the people in the respective jurisdiction. Some aspects of Nevada constitution that are quite different to the US constitution involves the bill of rights where ion the Nevada draft, the original bill of rights is retained as opposed to the federal bill of rights.
